Body Balance Nutrition and Fitness Weekend Workshop

David Rice and Mark Eaton have teamed up to offer a very unique total immersion health and fitness retreat on the grounds of the five star award winning private estate, Ballinacurra House. The aim of the retreat is to educate clients about the benefits of combining both effective physical training and movement along with healthy cooking choices in the kitchen. Clients will leave the retreat with a greater understanding of how to train and cook for better health and effective training.

 

David Rice is owner of Kinsale Gourmet Academy cookery school on the grounds of Ballinacurra House has work as a Professional Chef for 20 years. He has spent his time working in Michelin starred kitchens both in Ireland and aboard. David is also a qualified Sports Nutritional Advisor, a Crossfit Coach and is currently studying Applied Nutrition with the Culinary School of Medicine. David has also worked with the Leinster Rugby team teaching the players how to cook food in their own kitchens to help their performance on the field. David will be delivering live cookery demonstrations throughout the weekend and also assist Mark in delivering the strength and conditioning components of the retreat. David has a very holistic and realistic approach to cooking. He passes on his knowledge in very simple and straightforward manner which will give you the knowledge and confidence to cook your own food for optimal health helping you to get the right Balance for your training goals.

 

Mark Eaton, is a personal trainer and strength coach. He has a BSc in Sport & Exercise Sciences, a  PN Level 1, a qualified Nutritional Advisor, IRFU Strength and Conditioning coach and coaches gymnastics and bodyweight training at Crossfit Kinsale. Mark also joined the ACLAÍ coaching team in 2013 and has been a key member of the team since. Mark has helped many ACLAÍ members achieve their goals over the last few years. Mark is a lover of handstands, self-development, movement, gymnastics and sport performance. He coaches to help people get the best of themselves with evidence-based knowledge and from hands on experience working with clients each day. He has coached numerous clients looking to become fitter and stronger for the themselves and their general health, injury rehabilitation with athletes and general population and also sports performance with athletes from club teams to county teams, international athletes in a variety of sports from soccer, Gaelic games (hurling & football), Tae Kwon Do, Swimming, Triathletes, Marathon Runners. He loves his role as a coach and seeing his clients improve not only physically in the gym and sports performance but also mentally. Mark brings a holistic approach to health and well being both in sport and recreational. Mark has is a unique coach and has an amazing ability to get the best out of people and to give them confidence to try things they believed they couldn’t have done.

Saturday
9am Meet and greet refreshments and registration
10am-12pm Morning session with Mark. Complete bodyweight training session. Mark will work on   various progressions of body movements, mobility in a game orientated style and will tailor progression to suit your standard.
1pm -3pm Post Workout Lunch and cookery demonstration with Dave. This class will focus on best food choices after a training session along with a Nutrition Talk.
4pm -6pm Balancing and skill work with Mark. Locomotion training, hand balance (handstand progressions), skill work.
6pm-7pm Freshen up and chill out
7pm 3 Course Banquet dinner with cookery demonstration – Winter BBQ Feast
9pm Entertainment
Sunday
8am Breakfast cookery demo
9am Healthy Breakfast buffet
10am-12pm Training session with Mark. Gymnastics skills and kettlebell training
12pm-1pm Post Workout Lunch
1pm-2pm Lecture “Matching your training with your diet” with Dave and Mark.
2pm Depart

€390 per person (Twin Share room)
€450 per person (Single room occupancy)

If you would like to arrive on Friday night, then it will be an additional €90 per person for B&B
